Interests

Reading - Especially dystopian and sci-fi. My favourite book would be The Giver and Brave New World. I enjoy reading from printed books but it's rather cumbersome to carry a book. I usually read on my kindle while commuting.

Watching movies - I'm not picky about movies, as long as it's not horror/thriller. I like story-rich movies and musicals even though I'm not good with music.

Hiking - or stroll around the neighbourhood. It's hard to get fresh air while living in a busy, crowded city. I feel relaxed when I'm surrounded by woods rather than high-rise buildings.

Travelling - My favourite part is the local cuisine and visiting museums, cultural heritages and theme parks. If money and getting tanned is not an issue, I would love to see the Pyramids or be in a desert.

Education

Currently studying in HKUST under the Dual Degree Program, I study Computer Science and General Business Management.

From a young age, I have been intrigued by all the changes and loved finding explanations and theories behind everything. Grew up in the early 2000s, the booming of the Internet and personal desktop computers shaped my childhood and encouraged my development towards studying Computer Science.

In the spring of 2020, I grabbed the chance to study abroad at Nanyang Technological University, one of the best university in Singapore, for one semester. There are many similarities between Hong Kong and Singapore. Being in such a new and familiar environment prompted me to be proactive rather than scared.

The exchange was cut short due to the pandemic. I have lost some valuable face-to-face lecture hours. Yet, I have learned an even greater lesson from the first-hand experience of the city's swift reaction to the change of circumstances.
